Flintz, a 22-year-old rapper from Croydon, and T4ylor, a 17-year-old pianist from Birmingham, shocked the judges by revealing a crucial detail: they had\u00a0never met in person<\/b>\u00a0until the day of their audition, having only collaborated virtually via Instagram during the first COVID-19 lockdown .<\/p>\n

For their performance, the duo presented an original piece called\u00a0\u201cChange\u201d<\/b>\u00a0. Flintz explained that the song was deeply personal, chronicling his past as a \u201ctroublesome kid\u201d who was \u201cgoing down the wrong path\u201d . His core motivation for the song was to inspire his younger brothers, hoping they would \u201cnot follow the same footsteps\u201d and ultimately \u201cbe better than me\u201d .<\/p>\n
