GB News star slammed as he brands King Charles\u2019 Christmas speech \u2018pointless\u2019<\/h1>\n

Patrick Christys sparked the ire of GB News fans as he branded King Charles\u2019 speech a \u201cmeaningless word salad\u201d.<\/h2>\n

GB News\u00a0fans were up in arms as anchor Patrick Christys took aim at\u00a0King Charles after his Christmas Day speech. The star \u2013\u00a0who is married to fellow GB News host Emily Carver \u2013\u00a0took to X yesterday (December 25) but risked the ire of his regular supporters as he hit out at the monarch\u2019s \u201cmeaningless word salad\u201d.<\/p>\n

Christys wrote: \u201cBit of a meaningless word salad from King Charles there. Liked the bit about remembering veterans, but found the rest of his Christmas message a bit pointless. What do you think?\u201d His fellow GB News colleague Adam Brooks seemed to agree, writing: \u201cDidn\u2019t watch the King\u2019s speech,\u00a0I\u2019m really not a fan tbh.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I definitely didn\u2019t watch the loony\u00a0Green Party leader call for MORE asylum seekers\u00a0either. I\u2019ve had a nice day without politics or watching\/reading those that seek to destroy our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans weren\u2019t happy, however, as one fumed in the replies section: \u201cDespite his best efforts, poor Patrick can\u2019t find anything specific in the speech to cry about, so \u2018a bit pointless\u2019 will have to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else said: \u201cNothing says Merry Christmas like going on Twitter to slag off the annual speech from our monarch.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, others seemed to agree with Christys, as one said: \u201cPointless is correct\u2026 time for William and Kate to lead the Royal Family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cI miss Queen Elizabeth II.\u201d<\/p>\n
